Open to the public are the State Apartments including the Orangery (built by Hawksmoor and Vanbrugh for Queen Anne) and the Court Dress Collection. In the 96-foot King's Gallery are paintings from the Royal Collection, including Van Dyck's beautiful Cupid and Psyche.

Historic Royal Palaces

Historic Royal Palaces was established in 1989 as an Executive Agency of Government within the Department of the Environment, and the five palaces (Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace) were brought together and run by this one agency.
